In Nevada, the statute outlining the requirements for publishing a legal notice for a Foreign Corporation Annual Statement is NRS 80.190. This statute mandates that each foreign corporation doing business in the State of Nevada shall, publish a statement in two numbers or issues of a newspaper published in the State of Nevada that has a total weekly circulation of at least 1,000.
The Foreign Corporation Annual Statement publication must occur no later than the month of March in each year, except, if the corporation keeps its records on the basis of a fiscal year other than the calendar, the statement required must be published not later than the end of the third month following the close of each fiscal year.

In Nevada, per NRS 80.190(3) A corporation which neglects or refuses to publish a statement as required by this section is liable to a penalty of $100 for each month that the statement remains unpublished.
NRS 80.190(4) Any district attorney in the State or the Attorney General may sue to recover the penalty. The first county suing through its district attorney shall recover the penalty, and if no suit is brought for the penalty by any district attorney, the State may recover through the Attorney General.
Furthermore, a foreign corporation that fails to comply with NRS 80.190 is not authorized to transact business in Nevada. Nevada Attorney General Opinion 1959-16 (March 4, 1959).
